We haven't wasted any time this month. Sunday 1 August found us in Lower Hutt getting weighed in for the National Secondary Schools Judo Championships, after which, as tradition decrees, it was straight to the nearest McDonalds for breakfast.

Results were as follows:

Callum fought well but was deprived of a medal and Emma had to withdraw due to a knee injury.

Together with the guys from Nippon Judo Schools; Liz and Roderick from Kerikeri and, of course, Fiona - the Westlake teacher, we had a great weekend, lots of laughs and I have the photos to prove it. Thanks Callum for getting Judo a mention on the flight back.
